Why Crash doesn't appear on Activision's website.

Hey guy's here's something interesting I noticed. A lot of people are still trying to say Crash is owned by Sony, because none of his titles (MoM would actually be the one to show up seeing as that's the only console game they published) show up on their website, but here's something I discovered. If you search Call of Duty on there, only six of the titles in the series will come up. And Activision has published every title in the series since 2003. Why is it only listings from 2010-2013 are present?
Also when I searched Guitar Hero only three titles came up; GH6, DJ Hero, and Band Hero. The one released earliest being Band Hero, released 2009 (CoD didn't have a title released in '09) Just to be certain I searched "2009". I got a number of listings released in that year. I searched "2008"... no listings. What I've theorized is they're re-cataloging their titles on their website, and they've only done 2009-present. So it actually makes since MoM doesn't appear when you search Crash, because it hasn't been re-cataloged yet.

Behind the Sign.

In the behind the scenes for the #4thePlayers Trailer,  Crash's easter egg was acknowledged. When Ed Ryer revealed they hid over fifty (Wait, fifty???) refferences to past and present titles on the Playstation, right when he said that, a close up of the Crash Sign appeared. Now to remind you, he SAID past and present titles, I never heard future titles utter from his mouth.
I'm sorry to have to deliver the sad news even further, but it has to be done.
It's really cool to see the behind the scenes of such an awesome commercial, if you haven't yet here's the the commercial

An Open Letter to Activision Community Manager Dan Amrich and Activision Inc.

Hello Mr. Amrich, I have composed this open letter to plead with you and Activsion Inc. to heel the Crash fanbase.

In the recent weeks there has been a number of speculation that the Crash Bandicoot IP has been bought by Sony Computer Entertainment. This began with  Crash appearing in the #4thePlayers PS4 launch trailer, as a character on a street sign.
Crash in #4thePlayers at 0:49

This immediately led to many translating this as meaning Crash in getting a new game on the PS4 published by SCE.

Though thanks to the edit over at Game-informer.com, was able to get in contact with one of yours spokes persons to confirm Crash is sill with you guys. However, many believe this to be a lie. Many think Crash is with Sony, and many arguments have amounted because of it.

If you guys claim to be the proud owners of this lovable character, take action. Save his fanbase, release an official statement  on your confirming if he is or not. This rumor got quite the coverage from many websites. Probably the most the series has had in a long time.

I am not demanding you do this, but if you have renewed this copyright you must care enough for him.

Please take action.

Gameinformer article.

In case you haven't read the article yet.
Activision Still Owns Crash Bandicoot, Exploring Ways To Bring The Series Back - News - www.GameInformer.com

More Proof Crash is with Activision

Many of you guys continue to refuse to believe Crash is still with Activision, despite Gameinformer's article. Though here is something that should convince you;
This document is for a "security interest" (which are commonly used to acquire a loan)
and the Crash Bandicoot and Crash TM's are present. Now this was done late last month, the 4theplayers trailer where we found Crash's easter egg had to of been made months ago. If Crash was owned by Sony, why is his TM present in these legal documents of Activision?

"this is real"

I recently came in contact with Mike Futter, the author behind Gameinformer's article.

Me: A lot of people don't believe your article regarding the confirmation from Activision, that they still own Crash. Could you possibly have anything else to convince them?

MikeIf an official comment from Activision, on the record, that would bring so much heat crashing down if it were a lie isn't enough to convince people, there is zero I can do.
I know people don't want to believe it, but this is real."

Activision is still the owner of Crash.

Recently in an article from Gameinformer, it was confirmed Crash is still owned by Activision. In Activision rep's words; “Activision owns Crash Bandicoot and we continue to explore ways in which we could bring the beloved series back to life,”. Now before you guys consider suicide consider this. This rumor gave Crash the most publicity he's had in a long time, which Activision or Sony had of noticed. Plus that quote is the best thing we've heard from a higher up at Activision for quite a while.

Now before I close, I wanna make something clear. I want Crash to return as much as you. Some of you have complained that whenever something good for Crash happens, I just list out the possibilities of how it's not true. Guys, I don't just list the negative possibilities, I list the positive ones also negative possibilities of the subject matter, and how you you should be skeptical on both sides, and the reason I'm going with Gameinformer's comments, and I'm not going with Eskimo Press's claims regarding him with Sony now, is because Gameinformer is more respectable news website, unlike Eskimo Press who've only been around about a couple years. Ther MIGHT be a small possibility of Activision covering up Sony's buy out of Crash, but that is a very small chance. Keep praying guys Crash will return.

Is it Really Confirmed?

In the last couple days a lot of questions have risen. Is Crash with Sony? Ever since Crash's appearance in the PS4 launch trailer, a lot of hype for him to be getting a new game on the PS4 has grown. Though a lot of stuff of stuff has popped up regarding his is it really okay to call this "confirmed"?
Well first let's look at what's gone on recently; the Crash Village website was taken down a couple months ago. So it could indicate Activision took it down because they don't own the IP.
... but, the website has been glitchy and barely usable in it's last few months, and Activision probably decided it was a wast to have a website up for an inactive IP, so don't cling to this.

But theres also the fact that Crash's name doesn't appear on any of Activision's website among their other IP's.

But very recently this particular tweet appeared

Wait a minute! What happened to "We're not sure at the moment, thanks for showing your support!"?????
Why "No comment."???? It's a simple "Yes." or "No." question. Could they be helping Sony cover up a big reveal? Or maybe not...

hmm, then why did you include Activision's IP in your  trailer, which was meant strictly to show off new games/characters to be released on the PS4?!?!?
Now it could be part of a cover up for a big reveal. Oh how game publishers lover big reveals.

Now in the end with all of this, is it solid to say Crash is confirmed for PS4?
No. Confirming is when the publisher announces it, or there's enough evidence suggesting. While there is quite a bit suggesting we are, it doesn't mean we are, so don't make videos title "Crash for PS4 Confirmed!!!!" or go around to forums saying it is. Cause it's not. It's okay to talk about your enthusiasm for it's possibility, but unless a Sony higher-up confirms it, it's not confirmed.

Crash Bandicoot for PS4?

**UPDATE 2/12/13* Activision cofirmed they still own Crash “Activision owns Crash Bandicoot and we continue to explore ways in which we could bring the beloved series back to life,” a representative told us. While this might not be as hopeful as if the IP had changed hands, it still does keep a glimmer of hope alive."

Ever since Crash's cameo in the PS4 launch trailer, there has suddenly been all kinds of news of Crash on the PS4 popping up. It somewhat started with Youtuber jerimiahisaiah revealed a conversation between him and a FB friend named Login, who works for Treyarch (a subsidiary of Activision)

In the conversation Login basically says the Crash Bandicoot series is no longer an IP of Activision, it has switched over to Sony as a PS4 exclusive title.
Now while a lot of people have been saying that he pretty much confirmed Crash is Sony's now, right? Well, here;s the thing. He didn't really say he was told this. He started the conversation as "So, I saw you guys heard something new about Crash." Which sounds like he heard it too the same way everyone else has, rather than learning it from his employers. So, yeah I wouldn't call this 'solid'.

However there's something else:

Before you guys kill over out of excitement, listen.
In this article from Gamepur.com claims that on Amazon France a Crash Bandicoot title exclusive to the PS4 has already been posted on there ready for when it ready to be bought (not uncommon to happen on Amazon, especially the European and Asian versions, for some reason)
While this is interesting, take a look at the link for the page.
The internet address is no active page of the website. Kind of fishy.
It might be possible Sony caught wind of this possible reveal ruiner, or the author from Gamepur simply decided to do a prank. Though I can't confirm or deny this.
Now before you angry comment like crazy, let me make it clear. I am not trying to step on your hopes and dreams. I'm simply trying to get you guys to understand not to get your hopes so high up on something that you have got to agree doesn't seem a 100%.
I'll keep you guys up to date if anything else pops up.

No word about Crash from PS4 Launch Event.

For you guys who have been keeping up with us lately, you will most likely be aware of this...

Yep, Crash's appearance in the PS4 Launch trailer really got a lot of people excited (even myself to be honest) And then word came that Sony were gonna announce the return of a new franchise at the launch event for the PS4. And alas it did not. Now before you guys get mad and contemplate suicide by crappy DS party game, do take in mind that this doesn't mean Crash won't get his day in the sun eventually.
About every element in the trailer are parts of games that have been confirmed for the PS4 and, or next gen-systems. Heck even Parappa appeared in it-
Now while I'm not saying this means that he'll be returning soon, it still is interesting. If Crash (and Parappa) Aren't meant to get new games on the PS4, why are they in this commercial that is meant to contain elements and characters that are gonna be seen in games for the system?
Sure it may be an easter egg, but why in this? Even on websites and officials from SCE have noted that this trailer is entirely dedicated to characters in PS4 games. If this is just an easter egg in homage to there very first unofficial mascot, it is pretty stupid to do it, with out foreseeing the over excitement  from fans. However, this has gotten quite the attention from people, even during the live-stream for the PS4 launch, quite a few of the comments in the comment box were about Crash being in the commercial, and a little bit of speculation regarding a new game. If this was merely just a homage, Sony would respond putting the rumors to rest.
What ever this is meant to be, it is still nice to see Sony cares about him.
So remember don't just rely on this, and only bugging Sony. Also remember to pay attention to Crash's current owner.

Crash Bandicoot easter egg could hint at Crash's future?

**UPDATE 2/12/13* Activision cofirmed they still own Crash “Activision owns Crash Bandicoot and we continue to explore ways in which we could bring the beloved series back to life,” a representative told us. While this might not be as hopeful as if the IP had changed hands, it still does keep a glimmer of hope alive."

Wow things have escalated quickly...
Earlier today Sony uploaded a new launch trailer for the PS4 to Youtube. Everything looks like what'd you'd expect from it. Guns, explosions, robots, Crash Bandicoot street sign-WAIT A MINUTE?!?!?!
Could it be... is it... IT IS!!
CRASH BANDICOOT IS IN A PS4 TRAILER?!?!
okay, let's relax a minute and analyze this for a sec.

Let's see:
(1) Recycling-bin (symbolism of his inactivity for so long)

(2) Crash! (His iconic Twinsanity render to be exact)

(3) An arrow pointing to...

(4)... Sony Computer Entertainment's log!?!?

Could this a sign of Crash's return? While I could just say it's a fun little easter egg, it's message we've decoded seems to be quite interesting...
And to add to that according to a Reddit post Kevin Pereira of the Deathsquad podcast leaked some info that Sony will be bringing back one of their biggest exclusives, and it has something to do with space. While the space thing is a throw off, do remember many of the Crash games had space levels. The PS4 is gonna officially gonna be released in the US in around about fourteen hours, and in thirteen hours from now they will be holding a PlayStation All Access show on Spike TV, revealing more PlayStation exclusives as the system launches. Keep your fingers crossed guys.

Early beta cover-art for The Wrath of Cortex discovered

Not related to a new game, but it's still really cool, this is what appears to be an early cover-art for The Wrath of Cortex, and I actually like this more than the one they went with.

Welcome to our blog

Welcome to our blog. I created this to be as the place where you can read our lengthier posts that I'd prefer not to post on Facebook, cause let's face it. Nobody gets on Facebook to read a 500 word status. Our Facebook page  will still be the center of the cause, you'd still want to be connected to this blog.
